Depending on the strawberries you use you may need to add some red food coloring if you want the pink shown in the photos. being a regular bread color instead of the bright color won't hurt the taste any at all, it will be just the same. If a little girl wants a pink loaf the choice is yours. I don't know how this will work with fresh berries as pretty much everything I use is frozen.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar or splenda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 - (15-ounce) container frozen sliced unsweetened strawberries, thawed and undrained
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 - eggs, lightly beaten

How To Make strawberry bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350°. Lightly grease two light-colored 8 X 4 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon until combined. Stir in the pecans, strawberries, oil, and eggs. Mix until just combined.
  • Step 3
    Pour into the loaf pans and bake 55 minutes to 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaves comes out clean.
