A recipe that I grew up on as well as my kids. Robert would volunteer me to make this for the yearly wrestling tournament.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 32 ounces tomato juice
  • 3 cans tomatoes, canned and chopped, with liquid
  • 3 cans kidney beans, canned
  • to taste - chili powder
  • to taste - salt and pepper

How To Make chili con carne (large batch)

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef with onion, drain fat
  • Step 2
    Add rest of ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Allow to simmer until desired thickness.
