tuna, macaroni & cheese casserole

This is a recipe is also known as Kraft Dinner. Mom used to make this and served it with coleslaw. To make a double batch use a 9X13 pan and double all ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 box kraft macaroni and cheese
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 6 ounces tuna, packed in water,drained
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 2 tablespoons onion flakes, dehydrated
  • to taste - salt and pepper

How To Make tuna, macaroni & cheese casserole

  • Step 1
    Prepare Macaroni & cheese according to package directions. Boil 6 cups of water in medium saucepan. Stir in macaroni; cook 7 to 8 min or until tender, stirring occasionally. Drain. Do not rinse. Return to pan. Add margarine or butter, milk and cheese sauce mix; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Prepare tuna with mayo/salad dressing, salt, pepper and hydrated onions. In a 8X8 pan,spread evenly, tuna on bottom of baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Spread evenly, mac& cheese over the tuna.
