This is the original Waldorf Red Velvet Cake Frosting recipe. It is one of my Mom's recipes(I have adapted this to cook in the microwave) and one of my favorites... it is very light and airy. You should try this instead of using cream cheese frosting, which bakeries put on everything now.

In a mixer bowl, beat the remaining ingredients together until very fluffy, add the cooled mixture and beat until you can no longer taste the sugar granules, (it will have melted into the mixture) This takes about 5-10 minutes. Frost cake.
