I love my Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodles that I have on here...but I wanted to incorporate actual today I did just that. AND I love the way they turned out!!! I hope you do too! :o)

Ingredients For pumpkin doodles

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    butter flav crisco
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    pumpkin (heaping 1/2 cup) canned or cooked
  • 3 c
  • 2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice, if you don't have this, there are a couple recipes for it on this site
  • 1/2 c
    sugar, for rolling
  • 1 Tbsp
    pumpkin pie spice, for rolling

How To Make pumpkin doodles

    Preheat oven to 375. Cream together butter and crisco, then add sugar, egg, vanilla and pumpkin mixing well. In separate bowl whisk together flour, tartar, soda, salt and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Then add to creamed mixture, mixing until it comes together.

    In a small dish mix together 1/2 c sugar and 1T pumpkin pie spice for rolling. Shape dough into 1 1/2" balls, roll in sugar mixture, place on cookie sheet, flatten slightly with bottom of glass. Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes. Mine came out perfect at 12 min.

    Remove pans from oven allow to cool on pans 2 minutes then remove to racks to cool completely. Enjoy!!!
