Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg
    macaroni, dry
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • pinch
    pepper
  • 1.75 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs, buttered

How to Make Three Cheese Baked Macaroni

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook macaroni according to package direction.
  2. In saucepan saute onion in butter until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, mustard and pepper: cook 1 minute.
  4. Blend in milk; cook stirring constantly, until thickened.
  5. Add cheddar, cottage and parmesan cheeses; stir until melted.
  6. Combine macaroni and sauce mixture; mix well.
  7. Pour into 8 cup baking dish; top with bread crumbs and bake at 350 about 30 minutes.
