most imes i put onion soup mix in this...was all ready to get roast cookin when i realized i had no soup....sooooooo hadda use the ranch dressing mix already had onion powder and chives rubbed on meat soooooo.... it is cookin now...will let ya know how it turns out

1beef roast[up to u on the size...mine is bout 4 pounds]

1 Tbsponion powder
-
1 Tbspdried chives
-
1 pkgranch dressing
-
1/2 canhot water
-
carrots,potaotes,mushrooms

8 ozlight sour cream
How To Make surprise crock pot beef roast

1mix chives and onion powder together...rub all over roast..set aside...put 1 carrot and 1 potaot and several mushrooms in bottom of crock pot pour hot water over them

2add roast on top of veggies....sprinkle ranch dressing powder over meat....set to high heat and cook 4-6 hrs remove meat and veggies keep warm add sour cream to make gravy
