  • 4 1/2 lb
    Boston butt pork roast
  • 3/4 c
    roughly chopped sweet onion
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    seasoned salt

How To Make simple crock pot boston pork butt

  • Rub poured over a Boston butt in a slow cooker.
    Take all the dry ingredients and mix them together. Then rub the mixture evenly over the roast.
  • Onions added to the slow cooker.
    Place into Crock Pot. Then cover with onions.
  • Setting the Crock Pot to cook.
    Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours depending on how hot your Crock Pot runs.
  • Shredding the Boston pork butt.
    Remove roast. Using two forks, shred the meat to blend in the onions. At this time taste to see if you need to adjust seasonings.
