Ingredients For apple pecan pie

2pie crust shells

6 ccored, sliced granny smith apples

1-1/2 cpecan halves

1-1/8 tspground cinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

1-1/2 cbrown sugar

1/2 cwhite sugar

2 Tbsplemon juice, fresh

3 Tbspall-purpose flour

1 Tbspapple pie spice

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make apple pecan pie

1Preheat oven to 450. Rub soft butter on bottom and sides of deep dish pie pan, place pecans round side down until whole inside of pan is covered. Spread brown sugar until all nuts are covered.

2Place one pie crust on top of nuts and lightly press into nuts. Set aside.

3In bowl mix well lemon juice, flour, white sugar, spices, and vanilla. Add sliced apples and toss until coated. Pour evenly into piecrust. Cover with 2nd pie crust folding over sides and crimping together. (Don't worry how this looks as it is the bottom of your pie.) Poke holes at random with fork for release of steam.

4Bake in 450 oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 for 45 minutes.

5Remove from oven. Let cool until bubbling stops. IMPORTANT: Flip pie pecan side up, and serve hot. The pecans should be very shiny. Serve with ice cream.
