Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 large
    white onion chopped
  • 3or 4 c
    fresh pumpkin chunks
  • 1 qt
    light cream or milk
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    sweet basil
  • ·
    sprinkle of nutmeg

How to Make Pumpkin Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in Dutch oven. Add all other ingredients and simmer until pumpkin is soft. Run through blender, then pour back into pot to heat the soup. Serve with corn bread and enjoy!
