Ingredients

  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 c
    self-rising corn meal
  • 2/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/3 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/3 c
    chopped green pepper

How to Make Pepper Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine eggs and buttermilk.
  2. Stir in cornmeal just until moistened.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve warm.
