  • 8, 4 oz
    rib eye steaks

  • 2/3 c
    canned pineapple juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    ground dry ginger
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly cracked black pepper

How to Make Bunyan's Diabetic Teriyaki Steaks


  1. Drop the steaks into a large zip top plastic bag
  2. Whisk the marinade ingredients together in a mixing bowl
  3. Pour the marinade in the bag with the steaks
  4. Squeeze as much air outta the bag as possible, and seal it
  5. Put the bag of steaks on a plate
  6. Stick the steaks in the fridge for 24 hours
  7. Take the steaks outta the fridge, and outta the marinade, SAVE THE MARINADE
  8. Grill or broil to desired doneness.
  9. Put the marinade in a small saucepan
  10. add 1 tsp of corn starch and whisk till thoroughly combined
  11. Bring to a boil over medium heat. If the sauce is too thick just add a little water till it's as thick as you want it
  12. Pour the sauce over the cooked steaks
