Add a little twist to the common bruschetta (which I love as much) but with a little kick. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 5
    chopped tomatoes
  • 8 or more
    slices of French or Italian bread toasted or grilled
  • bunch
    cilantro, fresh finally chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • ·
    olive oil
  • ·
    hot red pepper or jalapeno
  • ·
    salt to taste (about 1/2 tsp)

How to Make Mexican Bruschetta

Step-by-Step

  1. Finely chop the tomatoes, garlic, hot red pepper (or jalapeno), and cilantro. If fresh red pepper is not available, red pepper powder will do.
  2. Place in a bowl. Add oilve oil and salt.
  3. Grill or toast the sliced bread.
  4. Place some tomato mix over the bread and serve immediately to avoid the bread becoming soggy.
  5. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Yum!
