    2 t. butter , softened
  • ·
    2 slices thick cut french bread,abt. 1 inch thick
  • ·
    1/2 t. garlic powder
  • ·
    1 clove garlic,minced
  • ·
    4 tablespoons parmesan cheese

How to Make Texas Toast

Step-by-Step

  1. Set oven control to broil.
    Broil bread with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 2 to 4 minutes until lightly toasted.
    Turn over. Mix remaining ingredients. Spread on untoasted side of bread slices.
    Broil again until lightly toasted. Serve hot.
