The title of this recipe from the 50's is a little misleading. But the cooking time is only 2 minutes! My mother made these for all of us kids, and we devoured them!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c
    nuts, optional

How to Make Nanna's No Cook Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together, in saucepan, sugar, butter, milk and cocoa.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. (Add nuts, if desired).
  3. Drop onto wax paper and allow to cool (if you can wait long enough)!
