Being a New Orleans native, I definitely enjoy my seafood! And this is a favorite, since it is so versatile. It goes great over a salad, rice, or pasta. :)

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 2 lb
    lg. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 clove
    garlic, crushed and minced
  • 1/3 c
    fresh chopped parsley
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • ·
    salt, to taste

How to Make Garlic Shrimp

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat until butter stops foaming, about 30 to 45 seconds. Add the shrimp and garlic and sauté over medium heat, turning frequently until the shrimp just turn pink, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Add the parsley, lemon juice, and salt; stir well. Remove the pan from the heat and serve immediately, with rice or a salad.
