2eggs or 4 yolks

2 Tbspshortening

1 csugar

3/4 cbuttermilk

2 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspcinnamon

3 1/2 cflour
How To Make grandma kiwacka's doughnuts

1Beat eggs. Mix in shortening and sugar. Add buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and flour.

2Turn onto lightly floured board, knead 5 or 6 times. Cut with doughnut cutter.

3Roll out gently 1/3" thick. Let rest for 20 minutes.

4Fry in hot fat until brown. Turn as they rise to the surface and show a little color. Drain on absorbent paper.
