Requesting sugar-free eggnog?...well here is a wonderful recipe for a sugar and alcohol free eggnog and is made with Splenda. I am sure you could use any brand of sweetener that you like. Ingredients For elegant eggnog

  • 3/4 c
    splenda® no calorie sweetener, granulated
  • 1 Tbsp
    arrowroot or cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    fresh ground nutmeg
  • 7
    egg yolks
  • 4 c
    2 % milk
  • 2 c
    fat-free half n half
  • 2 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    rum extract

How To Make elegant eggnog

  • 1
    Mix together first 3 ingredients in a large heavy saucepan. Set aside. Whisk egg yolks. Add to SPLENDA Granulated Sweetener mixture whisking until blended. Gradually whisk in milk.

    Cook over low heat, whisking constantly until the temperature reaches 175 degrees approximately; after about 8 minutes I turned up the heat some to get it to the temp. I needed. (12 to 15 minutes). Remove from heat and whisk in half and half; cool.

    Cover and chill 3 hours or up to 3 days. Stir in vanilla & rum extract just before serving.
