A very good recipe to use up your leftover meats from the holiday gatherings. So simple to make.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This super easy casserole is creamy and flavorful. It's simple to throw together with leftover holiday ham and turkey. The filling is like a chicken pot pie and adding savory ham makes this delicious. The baked biscuits on top are great to sop up all the yummy filling. When it first comes out of the oven, this casserole is a little runny. But when it cools a little bit everything thickens up.

Ingredients For ham & turkey bake

  • 1/2 c
    onions; chopped
  • 1/2 c
    celery; chopped
  • 1/4 c
    margarine or butter
  • 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    chicken broth or boullion
  • 1/2 c
    cream or milk
  • 2 c
    ham; diced
  • 2 c
    turkey; diced
  • 3 oz
    can mushrooms pieces; drained
  • 1 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    Accent seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 can
    mixed vegetables; drained; 14 oz.
  • 1 can

How To Make ham & turkey bake

  • Onion, celery, and flour in a saucepan.
    Cook onion and celery in butter; blend in flour.
  • Adding broth and cream to the saucepan.
    Stir in broth and cream; cook to a boil.
  • Meat, vegetables, mushrooms, and seasoning added to the saucepan.
    Stir in the meat, canned vegetables, mushrooms, and seasonings.
  • Mixture added to a casserole dish.
    Pour into a greased baking dish.
  • Biscuits placed on top of filling.
    Top hot mixture with the biscuits.
  • Ham and Turkey Bake baking in the oven.
    Bake at 350 degrees until the biscuits are baked.
