This is quick and easy to make. Some of the seasonings can be altered to fit your personal tastes.

Ingredients For fried chicken

  • 1
    chicken
  • 1 1/2 c
    self-rising flour
  • 1 1/4 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    seasoned salt (i use lawry's)
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 tsp
    adobo seasoning
  • 2 1/2 c
    vegetable oil (or your choice)

How To Make fried chicken

    Cut up your chicken if necessary. (You may also use your favorite parts of the chicken already cut up.) Wash chicken and put in a medium sized bowl. Add the buttermilk and cover. Place in the refrigerator from 1-2 hours to marinate.

    After marinating the chicken for 1-2 hours. Take out. In a separate bowl mix flour and all the seasonings. Dip pieces in covering thoroughly with the flour and seasoning mixture. Shake off excess. In a large skillet heat oil.

    Place pieces of chicken in oil and fry on both sides for about 15 mins. per side. Remove from skillet and drain off excess oil. Cool and serve.
