When I first moved to NY back in the 70's, I hung out with alot of theater people. They used to make this late at night after performances or after a night on the town. It's a nice change with No meat. Enjoy!

How to Make Pasta Ceci

Step-by-Step

  1. Boil water and cook your pasta as per your package or as per your
    Taste.
In a large frying pan, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes in olive oil.
Note: The more red pepper flakes the hotter it is.
When the garlic starts to turn golden, add the can of drained chick peas. Add the Marinara Sauce and simmer for about 25 min.
Note: if you want to use real tomatoes instead of sauce you should put the tomatoes in before the chick peas but let them simmer for about 20 min.

Serve over your pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese if you want.
