CHOCOLATE BRICKLE (makes 50 pieces)



This is a family favorite that can be used for holiday or tailgating. It's easier to make than peanut brittle so the kids can make this too. It doesn't need a real hot heat that can be dangerous for the kids. I BET you can't eat one's addicting. This makes great gifts as well.

    2 sticks butter
  • ·
    1 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • ·
    2 cups peanuts or almonds or cashews, salted
  • ·
    1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ·
    12 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips

How to Make CHOCOLATE BRICKLE (makes 50 pieces)


  1. In saucepan, cook butter and sugar over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring constantly with wooden spoon or spatula. Add nuts and continue to stir for about 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir. Pour into greased 9x13 pan.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over the mixture. As the chocolate melts, use a knife or spatuala to spread it evenlly over mixture.
    Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until the candy gets hard. Cut the candy into pieces or tap the back of the pan and release the candy to break into odd shapes. Store in container in fridge when not serving.
