These are delicious. Great for making pot pie with a biscuit crust, or just for breakfast or dinner biscuits in general!

  • 2 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    cold butter
  • 1 c
    plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1/4 c
    skim or 2% milk

How to Make Low Fat Whole Wheat Biscuits


  1. Combine dry ingredients in a cold bowl. Cut in butter with fingers or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add yogurt and milk just until mixed. DO NOT OVERMIX or the biscuits qill be tough.
  3. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to about 3/4" thickness. Cut into biscuits(usually about 2" circles).
  4. Bake at 400 F for about 15 minutes
