this is an old family recipe-one my grandma fixed for years. in my busy world, as most others experience, i love to cook but many times i need something quick and easy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    long grain rice, uncooked
  • 8 oz
    sliced smoked sausage
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 16 oz can(s)
    stewed tomatoes
  • 10 3/4 oz
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    sage
  • 1 tsp
    hot sauce
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste

How to Make CAJUN SAUSAGE AND RICE

Step-by-Step

  1. in large skillet combine all ingredients. bring to a boil-cover-reduce heat & simmer for 20 minutes. remove lid & simmer for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
