I am not a big fan of the all mighty red meat, but if the marinade is a great tasting one, then I will definitely eat it.

Ingredients

  • MARINADE:

  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sherry cooking wine
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    flank steak, thinly sliced, across the grain
  • SAUCE:

  • 1 Tbsp
    oyster sauce mixed with 1 tbsp. water
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    sherry cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/2
    yello onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small
    bell pepper, your color choice
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut oil

How to Make BLACK PEPPER BEEF STIR-FRY

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together the ingredients for the marinade.
  2. Add the flank steak slices and marinate, chilled for 1 hour.
  3. Mix together the ingredients for the sauce.
  4. Heat the peanut oil in a deep large skillet on medium-high.
  5. Drain the excess marinade off the flank steak slices and add them to the skillet and stir-fry until just cooked, about 3 minutes.
  6. Remove the flank steak from the skillet and heat the remaining Tbsp. of peanut oil.
  7. Stir-fry the onions and bell peppers until they begin to caramelize, about 2 minutes.
  8. Add back the beef to the skillet and add 1/2 Tbsp. sherry cooking wine to deglaze, then add the sauce and mix well to coat.
  9. Serve hot over rice or *cake noodles.
  10. *Basic recipe for cake noodles has been posted.
  11. You can also add your favorite vegetables to the flank steak.
