Baked Taco Dip: has been a big hit with our family for years. I will prepare this for dinner on the nights we have make your own nachos. Also works well for a taco salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 c
    favorite picante sauce
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green onion
  • 2 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    waterr
  • ·
    serve with favorite tortilla chips
  • ·
    can top dip with fresh tomatoes, black olives or sour cream

How to Make Baked Taco Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown ground beef, drain off fat. Add 1 pkg. of taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup of water. Cook for 15 minutes until water cooks off.
  2. Put seasoned ground beef into a casserole dish and spoon at least a cup of picante sauce over the beef. Top the picante sauce with the chopped green onions. Then top with the grated cheddar cheese.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  4. Serve baked taco dip with favorite tortilla chips. Chopped fresh tomatoes, black olives and sour cream make great toppings for dip.
