I have personally made these cookies and they are really good. I love my toll house chocolate chip recipe but I'll admit that this recipe is just as good.

How to Make New Hampshire-Abbey's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
  2. Beat butter until light and fluffy. I actually used butter crisco and beat it just as I would if using butter.
  3. Gradually beat in both sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts and mix by until well blended. I use a wooden spoon to do this.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (about 2" apart) onto ungreased cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. I always spray mine even though it calls for ungreased. I also use foil when I'm out of parchment paper.
  6. Bake at 375 for approximately 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Note: you can use only one package of chocolate chips if you want.
