Ingredients

  • ·
    4 tablespoons flour
  • ·
    4 tablespoons sugar
  • ·
    2 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • ·
    1 egg
  • ·
    3 tablespoons milk
  • ·
    3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
  • ·
    a small splash of vanilla essence
  • ·
    1 coffee mug
  • ·
    3 tablespoons oil

How to Make 5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well
  2. Add the egg and mix thoroughly
  3. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well
  4. Add the chocolate chips ( if using) and your splash of vanilla essence and mix again
  5. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will ride over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
  6. Allow to cool a little, tip out onto plate if desired. ( You can top the cake with some Powdered Sugar for looks)
  7. EAT! ( this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous)
