This spicy, flavor-filled chili is a favorite of my family. Though I change it up a little sometimes, I think this is its best version.

Ingredients For tammy's super bowl chili

6 slicebacon

1 lbsmoked sausage

1 lblean ground beef

1 lgonion

1green bell pepper, chopped

2 clovegarlic, minced

1green jalapeno pepper, diced

1/4 cworcestershire sauce
-
1 tspdry mustard
-
1 tspcelery seed
-
2 Tbspchili powder
-
3 cdiced italian tomatoes, canned works fine

1 Tbspcayenne pepper

1 can15 oz pinto beans
-
1 can15 oz kidney beans
-
1 cdark beer
-
1/4 cbrown sugar
How To Make tammy's super bowl chili

1Brown bacon in a large Dutch oven. Remove bacon, crumble and set aside. Slice the sausage in half, lengthwise , then into i-inch pieces. Fry in bacon fat until browned. Remove and set aside with bacon. Pour off excess fat from pot. Brown the beef, drain and set aside. Leave excess fat in pan.

2In same pan, cook the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and jalepeno over low heat for 5 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, celery seed and chili powder. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes with liquid and meats to onion mixture. Stir in cayenne pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3Add beans with liquid, beer and brown sugar and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
