My hubby came up with this recipe. We used to buy soup that was called "Hobo Stew" when we were first married. A few years ago, I was lamenting that we haven't seen it in stores for ages. Hubby quickly came up with this concoction. You can alter the flavor by using smaller cans of soup; i.e., if you want less bean flavor, use a small can of bean soup. If you like more chili flavor, use 2 cans of chili. Make it your own!

Ingredients For hobo stew

  • 1 can
    Vegetable Beef Soup (family size can)
  • 1 can
    Bean With Bacon Soup (family size can)
  • 1 can
    Hormel Chili With Beans

How To Make hobo stew

    Put soup & chili in a pan. Use about half to two-thirds of the water required by the soup.

    Heat slowly, stirring often, so it doesn't scorch.
