This is a tasty onion sauce, like you find on street vendor trucks,to top your hotdogs. It has a kind of sweet and sour flavor, the vinegar gives it just the right little zip! I prefer to use Vidalia onions when I can find them and I usually add more crushed red pepper flakes than the recipe calls for, but of course you can adjust to your taste. I love this sauce so much, I've even put it on sandwiches! I also like to chop the onions in a larger dice because I like them to still have a little texture to them. Hope you enjoy!
