Ingredients For oriental skillet

  • 2 c
    ground meat mix*
  • 1 can
    (16 oz.) chop suey vegetables (drained)
  • 1 pkg
    (10 oz.) frozen peas
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 sm
    tomato, quartered
  • chow mein noodles or hot cooked rice

How To Make oriental skillet

    In a large saucepan or skillet, combine Ground Meat Mix*, chop suey vegetables, frozen peas, and 1 cup of water. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a small mixing bowl, blend together cornstarch, sugar, and ginger; gradually stir in soy sauce and 2 tablespoons water. Add to beef mixture; cook and stir until thickened. Serve over chow mein noodles, or hot cooked rice. *Ground Meat Mix recipe located in this program
