This is a quick and easy dinner and if you end up having left over turkey mixture you can cook a cup of rice and mix it in and use the mixture for stuffed bell peppers another night.

Ingredients For italian ground turkey sandwiches

2 1/2 lblean ground turkey

1 mdonion, chopped (1/2 cup)

2 tspgarlic, finely chopped

1 jar(48 oz) chunky garden vegetable pasta sauce

1 can(6oz) tomato paste
-
1 canblack olives (sliced and drained)

12french rolls, split

6 slicemozzarella cheese, cut in half
How To Make italian ground turkey sandwiches

1Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat. Cook turkey, onion and garlic in skillet 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until turkey is no longer pink;drain.

2Mix turkey mixture, pasta sauce, tomato paste and olives in slow cooker.

3Cover and cook on low heat setting 4 to 5 hours. Fill each roll with 1/2 cup turkey mixture and a half slice of cheese, cutting to fit.
