There are lots of meatloaves out there; but this one has been THE MOST FAVORITE with my family and all of our house guests which have been many over the years. Enjoy!

Ingredients For meatloaf of meatloaves

  • 2 lb
    ground round, or lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1 can
    (12 ounce) evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 slice
    bread, broken into penny sized pieces (stale or dry is okay)
  • 1 md
    onion, finely chopped, or 2 tablespoons of dried minced onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic, ground or 2 tablespoons of garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning, dried or
  • 1 tsp
    sweet basil, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    marjoram, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 2
    carrots, washed, peeled and grated
  • 2 Tbsp
    catsup

How To Make meatloaf of meatloaves

    Please note that you only need the listed spices above IF you DO NOT have a mixed Italian Seasoning on hand; but you DO have the other seasonings.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Pour the evaporated milk into a small bowl, and put the bread pieces in to soak.

    In a large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together with your hands until thoroughly blended, adding in the milk and bread at the end, when completely soaked.

    Divide the meat mixture evenly between two prepared loaf pans and flatten the top with your hands. Bake for 1 hour.

    Remove from the oven and place on a serving platter. You may want to garnish with steamed vegetables. Excellent served with Tomato Aspic, Chili Sauce, Catsup or Salsa. Yield: 2 meat loaves

    NOTE: If you don't have many at your table, you may want to freeze a loaf for ease on another day, or give one away to a friend in need of help with thier dinner.
