Ingredients For mediterranean steak sandwiches

2beef ribeye steaks, cut 1-inch thick (1-1/2 lbs.)

1 Tbspolive oil

1 Tbspfresh lemon juice

4pita breads, warmed, or toasted

2 Tbspcrumbled feta cheese

1 Tbspchopped kalamata or ripe olives

1red onion, diced
-
1zucchini, sliced

1orange bell pepper, diced
- SEASONING:

1 1/2 tspdried basil

1 1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
1 1/2 tspdried oregano
-
1/2 tspsalt

1/8 tspblack pepper
How To Make mediterranean steak sandwiches

1Combine seasoning ingredients; press onto beef steaks.

2Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add steaks; cook 12 to 15 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally.

3Grill vegetables in another skillet until softened, about 8 minutes. Sprinkle steaks with lemon juice.

4Grill pitas for 30 seconds per side. To assemble sandwiches: Carve steaks; place on pitas. Divide meat and vegetables among pitas Top with cheese and olives.
