We enjoyed this dish so much at the military bases when we were stationed in Hawaii and after retiring there. When I found this recipe I was thrilled.

Ingredients For mongolian barbeque

3 Tbspsoy sauce

2 Tbspwine or water

1/2 tsphot red pepper flakes (more or less to taste)

2 Tbspgreen onions, chopped

2 tspginger
-
2 clovegarlic, mashed

2 tspsugar
-
1 dashblack pepper
-
2 tspsugar

dashblack pepper

2 Tbspsesame seed oil

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 lbsirloin steak or other steak, cut in very thin slices (cutting while slightly frozen is easier)
How To Make mongolian barbeque

1Add any of the following ingredients, increasing seasoning and oil to taste: sliced onions, sliced green or red pepper, sliced water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, sliced mushrooms, shredded carrots, chucks of pineapple.

2Grill on a very hot griddle, frying pan or wok until done as desired.

3Serve over cooked rice.
