Ingredients For peach gratin with mint sugar

2 Tbspunsalted butter for greased pan

2 Tbspsugar

1/4 csugar

4ripe peaches, peeled, halved, and pitted

1egg
-
1/4 cmilk

1/4 call purpose flour

1/8 tspsalt

1/4 calmonds, slivered

1 tspchopped fresh mint, divided

ice cream or creme fraiche, optional

sprigs of mint for garnish
How To Make peach gratin with mint sugar

1Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Heavily grease a 9-inch pie pan with butter. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar evenly over the bottom of the pie pan. Place cut-side down in the pan.

2In a bowl, combine the egg, milk, flour and salt. Mix well with a fork. Pour the batter evenly over the peaches.

3In a small bowl, stir 1/4 cup sugar, the almonds and half of the mint; sprinkle this over the batter.

4Bake until crust forms and the peaches are tender and baked through about 15 minutes.

5Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining mint. Serve warm or hot.

6If desired, serve with ice cream or creme fraiche. If desired, garnish with sprigs of fresh mint.
