First & foremost...the picture is NOT mine! I have made this recipe numerous times, but lets face it...there's no pic better than the original...Serendipity's!! This time of year ALWAYS makes me think of Frrrozen Hot Chocolate! The famous frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity's is THE BEST, but this copycat recipe sure hits the spot when you can't make it to their famous restaurant!!! Just remember, the better quality chocolate you use...the better your frrrrozen hot chocolate will be!! Hope you love this recipe as much as we do! Enjoy!

Ingredients For frozen hot chocolate

  • 1/2 oz
    variety of chocolate (about 6 pieces)
  • 2 tsp
    store bought hot chocolate mix (i use stone cold creamery mix)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 3 c
    ice
  • whipped cream
  • chocolate shavings

How To Make frozen hot chocolate

    Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

    In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
