How To Make ~ meatball sliders ~
-
1In a medium bowl, add the first 9 ingredients and blend just until everything is incorporated. I use my fingers.
-
2In a large skillet add about 1/4 cup of oil and turn heat to medium - med high. Roll meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place in hot grease and using a large spoon, turn as they brown. Once all are browned, drain on paper towel...
-
3I then wash out the same pan and add marinara or spaghetti sauce to the pan. Place the meatballs into the sauce ( I sprinkle with a little shredded parm.) and simmer for about 20 minutes, making sure meatballs are completely cooked in the center.
-
4Turn oven on to 375 degree F. On a sheet pan, lay opened sandwich rolls and bake, just long enough to get a little crunchiness. A bout 5 minutes... Remove from oven.
-
5Set the tops aside and on the bottom half of buns; place a meatball and some sauce. Lay a slice or half a slice, (depending on how big your slices are) on top of the meatball.
-
6Turn oven to broil and place meatballs under broiler. Broil just long enough to melt the cheese or gets a little browning.
-
7Remove from oven, place on the tops and secure with picks. Serve with extra warm sauce and enjoy...they are scrumptious!
