Best thing ever- my mom and aunt's did it too- it sure absorbs the oil or grease- I use it when frying too. Better than throwing it out.. and the ink does not affect the product- I use paper bags too! My mom is from Alabama and grandma too- still have a few aunts there in Mobile. Although their roots are in Germany.
