Shirley, I made the Divine Pecan Candy and froze 2/3's of it and it freezes very well. I was very pleased. It's a keeper recipe. Divine Pecan Candy

Me too...I have a lot of fudge recipes.
I don't really like nuts in fudge, but my Hubby love nuts in it.
Out of 4 Children most don't want nuts in it...most of the Grandchildren don't even like fudge. Theyed rather have cookies.

I have about every type of fudge you could think of I think. it is a tradition in my family to make these different types of fudge each Christmas for my kids and grandkids. But I am open to any new variety I see.. I have some kids that hate nuts in their candy and others that have to have the nuts in it.

don't know how I missed that divine pecan candy! but I went and saved it. I always make different typed of fudge for my family for Christmas and I am going to do this one as well.. Just wondered though how it holds out when frozen? I have never frozen fudge before. I make it right about the time I will be making my Christmas baskets..

Too many sweets around here. I made my cousin the cake on Friday then she and I made Peggi's donuts on Saturday. A week or so earlier I had made Valerie Johnson's Divine Pecan Candy and froze it and then earlier last week I had made cookies. Today I made an apple pie. I also have a chocolate cake in the freezer as well as half of a carrot cake. I really gotta stop all this baking. I'm ashamed of myself.

Shirley, are you saying that you are FINALLY going to make this cake? YAY!!! I cannot wait to hear your comment. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya, girl. Don't be nervous because there's nothing hard about it whatsoever. It just takes a little time. Just remember that once you see the icing starts to lose it's gloss it means that it won't be too long before you can cut it. I'll be online off and on so I'll be available to answer your questions if you have any, which I don't anticipate. xoxo

Bea, you are a BIG tease! You know how bad I want to taste that cake and look at you!! LOL But I thank you for the picture! My Aunt from Brantley,Alabama used to make a cake like that and I recall the last time I saw her I had come from maui to go look for my mothers gravesite with my dad and stepmom (the aunt is my step moms sister) anyway we were going to TN first as that is where my mothers people lived and on the way back to SC we went to AL and this aunt had made a big meal for us and that cake was for dessert! So good memories associated with it. BTW this aunt was almost 100 yrs old when she passed away this January. Wonderful southern cook!!I will be making mine Saturday! woo hoo!!!company is coming!!
