For you ladies using old prescription bottles for the holes in these doughnuts, I have a suggestion. My mom and I used to make doughnuts from scratch at home when I was growing up...and my mom used a thimble to make the holes. They came out just right! You might want to try that next time you make doughnuts. 5/08/12 17:51

You are welcome Peggi...Yes, I agree, they should be compiled...I had no idea that this recipe was not receiving the five stars, until it finally dawned on me that possibly, the five stars were all going to the original Featured version of this recipe, and possibly not this one, so I did both....lol! I am glad you have the stars now, since this was a very delicious recipe!

Thank you Brenda! I don't know why the 2 versions aren't compiled. They should be. :)

Hi Peggi, You are welcome, but I visited your Featured version recipe, and also added five stars, and clicked the family approved rating, and shared your recipe on my facebook wall. I wanted to make sure you received my stars and ratings, since it is the same recipe. Thank you for sharing this recipe! :-)

The stars for you are on the Featured version. I just didn't realize that a picture associated with the recipe was considered a new post I guess you would say & doesn't carry the stars to it for the recipe. No big deal! Thanks!

No, I never rate anyone's recipe's unless I prepare their recipes beforehand, and also if they were good too. I always try to add my picture of the finished recipe after making it, so they know it is genuine when I give my ratings also..please click on all of my photo's next to my name, and see how many I have..lol..ty again...your donuts are delicious, and thank you for sharing one of your family recipes..the family recipes are so valuable and original..I love to collect all of them..they hold so much value! Ty! :-)

I just hope you received your five stars and the other two (highest) ratings, since I felt you deserved them. I could not understand why they would or could not show on this recipe page, but thought maybe they were on a (possible) original version (if you have a original version..did not check, but will check it out). Ty again! :-)

Brenda, no, I forgot that you could rate it on the origunal recipe & the featured also, which is kinda wierd. They should just all be automatically combined. LOL!! Glad you don't rate them before trying! :)
