The three pictures I have posted are when the cake is sitting with the sauce. Then turn it over after cooling for an hour and you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top if desired and then after it is cut.
I am sorry about your mom's hip replacement surgery. Wow...I am so sorry. Wish her a speedy recovery from me.

OMG OMG OMG! This looks decadent and my family loves apple so I have to make this soon!!! Maybe when my mom gets out of rehab for her hip replacement surgery! A nice treat to go home to!!!
