Those Kolaches look really good. Many times, the lady of my home parish would set out kolaches as a dessert for the meal of Barbeque, Potato Salad, Beans, others veggies at parish picnics. Most Texas Czech immegrants originated in Moravia. I met many around Chicago who were of Slovak origin and their Kolachke were different shaped, yours look just like ours here except there is the constant argument of should they touch or not.
