When do they think your home will be complete? I'm praying before cold weather sets in!!! Will keep you in my prayers! I know how frustrating construction can be. We are waiting right now for our school to be "renovated" they are putting in ac and new windows.....however - as of Friday no new windows had been installed and school starts the 23rd!!! We are hoping to be allowed into our classrooms (of which we all moved last year....so all of our stuff is in boxes in the middle of our room) by the 15th! One week to unpack and get set up......oh well....God will see to it that we are ready!!!!
I did buy a new set of dishes, a bedspread, pillows, towels, glasses a couple of pictures. Not much I can store here at the apartment. My son bought me a mixer and it's at my daughter's. Be glad when it quits raining everyday and it gets cooler.
Linda,I plan to take pictures. Thank you for your kind words. I have been shopping all day today with my son, we picked out tile, for floor kitchen/ family area/ bathrooms, including the tile for my shower in the master bath room and walls. We chose Kingsmill Maple, Eucalyptus handscraped, engineered hardwood for the bedrooms, dining room and small hall. The tiles in the great room are 20x20, light beige/white/grey marble look. This is also on the bathrooms floors in 12x12 tiles. The house exterior will be rock and Hardie Shingle Siding, panted a silver green/ off white trim/dark cranberry door. You can google and see all of these. The roof is cedarmill weatherwood. Thank you for all your kindness. I'll just be glad to get back to a normal lifestyle.
Your house was beautiful! I know your new one will be even better though!!!!! You need to take pictures to show us all when it is finished! Love to you!!!!
Thank you Sweet Patti, I appreciate all your kind words. I went to Urgent Care this morning and I have a UTI. My phone number has been so messed up and a dear friend was buried today. She and I worked together nursing several year ago. She was one year younger than me, I called another nurse that worked with her and found out she had Pancreatic Cancer. Fantastic nurse !! I would run into her occasionally and we would stand and talk for such a long time. How blessed I am to have known her. She was a joy to work with. My son took me shopping this morning and I bought some pretty things for the new house. I went to Belk's and Hobby Lobby. I have decided to accent with bright yellow, orange, red, and blue. The walls are a smoky grey/green, the trim a real light off white, the tile is light beige/white/grey. I'm trying to get excited about all this but it's hard to do. You ladies have been a true blessing. Wish you could all come and walk with me through all this. Much Love To You !!
Jewel, I am so sorry you lost your home in the spring tornado! Thank God you are alive! We all know people cannot be replaced, and it is wonderful that you are still with us and posting wonderful recipes on our site! I made you one of my favorite cooks when I down-loaded the first recipe of yours I thought looked scrumptious! Please keep us in the loop as you rebuild. You did have such a beautiful home.
Blessings,
