I remember back in the 50’s eating these cookies that were made by my Mom’s best friend. After my Mom passed away in 1993 I found the recipe for them in her recipe box but it called for “a dimes worth of baking ammonia”. (her best friend had passed away earlier)
I could never find out how much baking ammonia to use; so thanks to you I am going to try to make them.
I remember they were the BEST sugar cookie EVER!! Thank you !!!
