My daughter came home and this was her special request for dinner. I don't make SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS in gravy too often but when I do, I like to try and make them the way my mama always made hers, she couldn't afford to add the red and assorted peppers and mushrooms, but ours always had lots of onions, and the gravy was always thick and golden brown. Mama always made hers in a cast IRON SKILLET on the WOOD BURNING COOK STOVE & they were always so good. This dish recaptured many child hood memories for me.
