I haven't tried that, but I personally would try using wax paper traced to fit the bottom, and even cut to fit around the sides since I press some of the crust up a little around the side.

This sounds wonderful. I need some direction on how to get the cheesecake off the bottom of the springform pan. I usually end of leaving in place so I don't tear up the cake. Any suggestions?
