I wonder if anyone has toasted the oats first before they made this pie, so it would be more "nutty" when you baked it with other ingredients? I think I would try this as maybe the "oats" would taste less raw and be more like roasted pecans. I think I will try this and let everyone know how this turns out.
I used quick, the little oats because that's what I had on hand. I don't really know if it matters in this recipe because it bakes for awhile. Everyone loved it when I made it. I need to make it again soon. It's great for those of us watching our pennies and those with nut allergies.
