Yep, that would explain it... just like the traditional way of preparing the veggies is frying them. I'm like, "no were gonna bake these babies", lol

well, he was born here & his mom is Greek... so I don't know, it maybe some new Americanized way ;) I am form Ukraine, but I have americanized a lot my recipes, to make them easier, faster, or healthier , or all of the above :D

Well Natalia, I'm just dumbfounded to be honest. Being a "real" Greek, meaning I was born there and came here later, I have NEVER heard of cream cheese in a bechamel. We don't have cream cheese in Greece, so I'm very, very confused to be honest. What region of Greece is he from? This is a very strange question. Is he messing with you? Or are you messing with me?

He mentioned something about adding cream cheese to the the Bechamel sauce, do you know anything about it? I can't seem to find any recipes like that.
